Ed NolanEdward J. Nolan
Vice President, Consulting Delivery

Edward J. Nolan has managed large development projects for both hardware and software in the areas of automated systems and robotics and new product startups in manufacturing plants. Working for Firestone Tire & Rubber and Westinghouse Electric in the 1980s and 1990s, Nolan gained broad-based engineering and management experience in research and development, manufacturing and applications engineering in the rubber and nuclear power industries.

For MAGNET, Nolan leads the delivery of services provided by MAGNET Product Design & Development. This team of engineers and business consultants works with clients who want to improve profitability by developing exciting new products in the industrial, consumer and medical sectors.

In 2007, Nolan earned the Executive Certificate in Management and Leadership from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Syracuse University.

Dave CrainDavid E. Crain
Director, Entrepreneurial Services

David E. Crain has held a variety of consulting and technology positions in business development, sales and technology roles. He joined MAGNET in 2002 as Director of Business and Information Systems, helping the organization set strategic goals and align its technology and business programs towards those goals.

Crain, who holds a degree in Systems Analysis and Design from Miami University (Ohio), became MAGNET's Director of Entrepreneurial Services in 2007, working with technology-oriented startup companies to help accelerate them toward commercialization.
