Dana names retired Toyota executive as its CEO, Toledo Blade, April 17, 2008
Toledo—Toledo’s largest company, Dana Holding Corp., named Gary L. Convis to replace Mike Burns as CEO. Burns resigned Jan. 31 as the firm exited bankruptcy. Convis, 65, the retired chairman of Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, also joined the Dana board.

Detroit—Delphi Corp. Executive Chairman Steve Miller says leaving Chapter 11 will take more time in view of the difficult financing environment. However, the company's turnaround plan is generating $20 billion to $30 billion per year in new business. Delphi, which has 3,500 workers in Ohio, has said it plans to close or sell six of its 10 plants in Ohio.

YSU plans Women in Science workshop, Youngstown Vindicator, April 13, 2008
