Information Technology: Our Results Tell The StoryClient # 1: Manufacturer and Wholesale Distributor of Countertops Situation: The company needed new application software to grow revenues in a key market. In preparation for the systems, MAGNET worked with the company to improve their business process. We then helped them define their software requirements, identify alternative vendors and helped them evaluate the best choices. We, in conjunction with our client’s legal team, negotiated with the chosen vendor. Working with the vendor we helped design the system modifications and enhancements and planned the implementation. During the implementation we supported the project management efforts of the client and helped ensure the modifications and enhancements were done correctly. Ultimately, we were present during the conversion to solve issues and make sure that the system operated as needed in the client environment. Result: The client selected and implemented a new information technology packaged system that meets their needs in their growth market segment. Capability to expand market presence and a negotiated long term savings that the software vendor had never given before. Client # 2: Heavy Duty Steel Fabricator Situation: The Company’s business volumes had grown substantially and its existing systems and procedures were inhibiting the Company’s ability to grow further. Company management sought a custom built, comprehensive yet user-friendly system which would give the power, flexibility and speed needed for future growth. MAGNET designed and implemented an integrated system that delivered the needed functionality and interfaced with existing Time and Task Management systems. Result: Using our Microsoft based development tools, MAGNET created web- based applications using our core functionality as a starting point with almost no code.
