Ballot Initiative Puts Manufacturing at Risk in OhioCLEVELAND—July 21 , 2008—The Board of Directors of MAGNET, the Manufacturing Advocacy & Growth Network, unanimously voted last Friday, July 18, to oppose an initiated ballot measure mandating paid sick leave in the state of Ohio. The measure is being actively promoted by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and is deceptively named the “Healthy Families” Act.
