Defining MAGNET Membership

In an effort to create a truly regional organization MAGNET has partnered with local chambers of commerce and economic development groups, to create a cohesive association of Northeast Ohio manufacturers.  This partnership will create one of the largest manufacturing membership organizations in the country.  Your manufacturing company will automatically become a member of MAGNET by joining any of the following:

  1. The Greater Cleveland Partnership
  2. The Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce
  3. The Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce
  4. The Stark Development Board
  5. The Youngstown-Warren Regional Chamber of Commerce

What's In It for Me?

In return for your chamber membership dues, your company will receive the following benefits:

  1. Unlimited FREE access to Manufacturer's ResourceLink.  ResourceLink is MAGNET's online directory of service providers designed specifically for manufacturers. Click here to tour ResourceLink
  2. Free online access to members' resource called Questline.  This premier research and information service is a rich library of resources for manufacturers.  With it you can complete a company profile request, perform patent search and retrieval, facility assessment request, research military specs and standards and access researchers, engineers and development experts who will answer your general questions, help with product assessments and troubleshooting.  This annual access is valued at $2,000 but the service is available to members at no extra cost.
  3. Access to monthly membership newsletter. This newsletter will focus on energy-related, technology or business subjects that may prove useful in your everyday operations. In addition, each bulletin provides links to additional data on the subject presented, including free tips and guides on business trends, environmental, regulatory, materials/machining, manufacturing and processes topics. 
  4. Member Discounts to MAGNET events.  Every month MAGNET hosts a wide array of seminars, workshops, networking sessions and classes throughout the 16 county region of Northeast Ohio.  We also will offer discounts on events co-hosted by MAGNET with other organizations
  5. Regional Datebook. MAGNET lists events taking place throughout the 16 county Northeast Ohio region into a single resource located on the Home page of the MAGNET website. These events are targeted to represent activities of specific interest to manufacturers.
  6. Events email. Monthly emails are sent to remind members of events taking place in the near future pertinent to their needs.
  7. Advocacy Newsletter. Access to MAGNET's Advocacy website and electronic newsletter every other month tracking manufacturing-specific public policy issues, legislation and regulations.
  8. Regionalism. MAGNET is one of several organizations working collaboratively and individually to grow the Northeast Ohio Economy. The organizations MAGNET works with are: JumpStart, TeamNEO, NorTech, and BioEnterprise.

How do I join?

To join MAGNET your company must be a manufacturer and also a member in good standing of one of the following organizations.

  • The Greater Cleveland Partnership
  • The Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce
  • The Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce
  • The Stark Development Board
  • The Youngstown-Warren Regional Chamber of Commerce
